Why No One is Always Productive

We believe that God is all-knowing and all powerful, right?I hope so.We believe that God is sovereign (in control) over all things, right?Again, I hope so.We believe that all of humanity is sinful, that there is nothing righteous within us.Once more, I hope so.So if God is all knowing, all powerful, and sovereign, could it be that He knows the number of our days? Could it be that He has determined the number of our days?If this is true, then we don't have time to waste, right?Right, but the problem is that we are built to waste time. Whether we are doing nothing or we are doing the wrong things, we waste time. How do I know that? As you agreed to above, we are completely sinful. Everything about us has been affected by sin. Including our ability to focus rightly.Frustrated yet? Good. I am. And I'm writing this.So what do we do? I suggest we take Paul's advice in Romans 12:2 and seek to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."How do you renew your mind? Pray. Read your Bible. Study your Bible. Talk to mature believers. Read good books.You know, all that old-fashioned stuff. I hear it actually works.
